Event Planning
Nov 21, 2006: First publish date.
Below are documents that are helpful when requesting or planning an event that requests participation by Skyline Drive Corvette Club. While some events can be planned and implemented in as short as four months, it would be more prudent to plan six months or even a year in advance so that the all the media can be notified.
At this writing, there is no Form to complete, however your request should be in writing and cover these items:
Today's Date:
Person(s) Submitting:
(including company name & Address)
Date & Times of proposed event:
Purpose of the event:
Overall Event Concept:
What part does Skyline Drive play in the event?
Would you like Skyline Drive to be the host for the event, or just a participant?
If applicable: Funds source for Trophies & Awards budget (normally $500):
If an SDC member is generating the request: shall be responsible for scheduling the event to not conflict with other events, generating participation by other members, obtaining prize/award Sponsors, holding the event, and the event follow-up. Follow-up includes photos for the website, number of attendees, accountability for any funds collected, and a short presentation at the next General Meeting to pass this info on to the members. Commercial events are also invited to do the same.
