Concours & Shows Committee

Purpose:  The Concours & Shows committee gathers info on non-Skyline shows & events, checks the Events Calendar to ensure that Skyline isn't having a club event at the same time, then brings up these events at the next Skyline Board Meeting.  Most non-club events are approved by the Board of Directors.  The idea is:  When you attend various events... it would be nice to meet-up and chat with otherr Skyline members who may be attending the same event.  Comraderie!

In-Vette-Tational Corvette Show committee

The 2011 In-Vette-Tational Corvette Show page is here.

Purpose:  Each Corvette club has at least one annual event for their own members to attend... and non-members are invited to attend too.  Some Corvette clubs host events for the specific purpose of generating revenues, either for their club (Allentown Corvette Club etc) or for a particular non-profit organization (Lancaster Corvette Club, Corvettes for Chip, etc.).
Our annual In-Vette-Tational Corvette Show has been an attraction for the past (32 years?) because it is run so well.  It is attended by people from as far away as Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Virginia, North Carolina, etc.
The Committee Chairman for this year is Ted Stalnecker.
There are sub-committees for:
 - Promoting the event to as many Corvette owners east of the Mississippi as possible
 - getting Event Sponsors
 - getting Seminar Speakers
 - getting Trophy Sponsors
 - getting the Trophies made
 - getting an Event Shirt designed and made
 - Chinese Auction managers, which includes asking companies & people to donate items
 - the Parking Committee, which directs where the incoming cars should park.
